Boodai Trading Company, the oldest company in the Boodai Corporation, was established in the mid-1950s initially to supply essential tools and other equipment to the burgeoning Kuwait oil exploration industry.

Oil fuel led Kuwait's phenomenal growth from a small desert community to a sophisticated, modern country. Boodai Trading Company promptly diversified into a broader range of construction equipment, enabling the company to service the needs of civil construction companies involved in the infrastructure construction of roads, ports, docks, schools, hospitals and houses. The oil and construction businesses have both changed and matured since the 1950s, and Boodai Trading Company has adapted to those changes, growing considerably in the process.
