Consultant or Specialist Cardiac Surgeon

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant or Specialist Cardiac Surgeon to join our esteemed healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular diseases, performing complex surgical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve repair/replacement, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and medical students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Participate in outpatient clinic sessions, providing pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technologies to improve patient outcomes and minimize recovery times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Engage in research activities and clinical trials to contribute to the advancement of cardiac surgery practices and techniques.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in general surgery followed by a fellowship in cardiac surgery.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac surgery, with a proven track record of performing complex surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of the latest advancements in cardiac surgical techniques and technologies.
- Exceptional clinical skills and the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with medical research and innovations.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
