Consultant Cardiologist

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Cardiologist to join our esteemed healthcare team in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert care and treatment for patients with cardiovascular diseases, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and therapeutic techniques. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Consultant Cardiologist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of cardiac care provided within our healthcare facility, contributing to both patient outcomes and medical excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and best practices in cardiology.
- Perform interventional procedures as required, including angioplasty, stent placements, and other minimally invasive cardiac interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and management of chronic heart conditions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiology through continuous professional development and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives within the cardiology department.
- Engage in research activities and clinical trials to advance the field of cardiology and improve patient care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements:

- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution, with completion of a residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing cardiologist, preferably in a consultant role within a reputable healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical skills with a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular diseases, their management, and associated complications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for improving cardiovascular health.
- Proven ability to handle complex cases and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call duties as required by the department.

Salary:
AED 60,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
