Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE :

Plan, direct and supervise the activities of the Applications Engineers involved in developing and implementing new information systems and maintaining/supporting existing systems in operations. Analyse, design, develop, test, implement, maintain and support applications systems within the Company. Provide training on application systems implemented.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities
- Supervises a team of Applications Engineers in the architecting of ERP application solutions by providing technical advice and guidance.
- Analyzes and improves upon relevant technology standards and solutions by maintaining a high degree of understanding of new solutions, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best business practices thereby ensuring a technological and competitive edge within the market.
- Assesses and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
- Responsible for overseeing the implementation of new ERP and web development projects, involving solution proposals, requirements definition, design, development, and QA testing/validation/sign-off and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Responsible for providing operations direction, support, and services for ERP and other integrated application systems and environments to enable and enhance mission-critical business activities.
- Ensures performance improvements through optimization and simplification of IS processes through the implementation of enterprise architecture solutions for Drilling Services Division.
- Responsible for driving standardization of ERP best practice standards.
- Responsible for providing technology awareness and influence to key business stakeholders.
- Oversees the development of policies, procedures, and documentation templates to ensure that quality documentation is created and available to support standard domain business processes.
- Ensures that all teams are aware of the standards and measures that are utilized in the implementation of application solution development and configuration.
- Ensures that a rigorous QA system is in place so that project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Works to define contingency plans for all enterprise application systems in compliance with best practice standards.
- Provides program management leadership to deploy new technologies and services (including ERP upgrades and new web implementation projects).
- Monitors projects and ongoing work through governance structures.
- Reviews the efforts of constituent project teams and determine the key interfaces of projects/programs.
- Responsible for defining sustainable adoption strategies for new technology deployments.
- Ensures successful implementation of ERP and web development projects by providing technical expertise in application design, integration, and systems architecture and provide technical expertise and direction to staff as needed to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Evaluates and recommend latest technologies applicable to the ERP environment in conjunction with the IT domain.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Information System, Computer Science, or Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 10 years of experience in the field of IT Applications and ERP in which 5 years of supervisory and project management role.
- Proven experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Basic understanding of servers, storage, and network terminologies and setup.
- Ability to evaluate and establish IT-related policies, procedures, standards, authoring and maintaining other main documentation types.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
