Commercial Assistant (UAE National)

Job description / Role

Wood is currently looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team in Dubai, UAE. We will consider UAE nationals applicants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Promote safe working practices within commercial function.
- Support with the administration of pre award activities including support to the proposals team in terms of preparing tender documents and associated commercial proposals
- Support with the administration of post contract activities, including ensuring that the contract is set up correctly in the appropriate business system, PAAFs and project specific commercial administration and commercial administration files are established and maintained.
- Assists in prepation of monthly commercial management reports.
- Support implementation of the Tender Governance Process within assigned project / sub business unit.
- Support governance and implementation of Financial Management Framework within assigned project / sub business unit.
- Liaison with various internal customers (Contract/Project Managers, Engineers) in all areas of commercial administration.
- Enhance project delivery and avoid any risk or commercial exposure to WOOD.
- Contribute directly to value creation and commercial gain to WOOD and Clients.
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage others
- Ability to prioritise key tasks and solve problems for the team
- Strong user of Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint

- Completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, or similar discipline.
- Working knowledge and experience of commercial administration and procedures.
