Senior Commercial Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join a tier one construction company based in Dubai, UAE. This pivotal role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in commercial management within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial aspects of a major 1 billion AED residential project, ensuring profitability, compliance, and strategic alignment with the company's goals. You will lead a team of professionals, collaborate with various departments, and play a key role in driving our business forward in a competitive market.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company's objectives and maximize profitability.
- Manage all contractual aspects of projects, including negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts.
- Oversee the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential financial exposure.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and adherence to timelines.
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and threats.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance business partnerships.
- Prepare and present commercial reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards in all commercial activities.
- Participate in bid preparation and strategy development for new projects, including pricing and risk analysis.

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Extensive UAE experience with contracting and PMC firms
- Complex civil or build project experience, ideally residential or hospitality, pre and post contract
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial principles, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of project cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.

Salary:
AED 60,000 to 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
