JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced specialists in the tendering and procurement processes and workflows as practiced in the construction sector in the GCC. The ideal candidate should have worked in an engineering consultancy, architect office, or in the procurement department of a General Contractor. The Tendering & Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by managing the tendering process for various construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can coordinate with multiple stakeholders, analyze project requirements, and prepare comprehensive tender documents and evaluating bids

Job role and responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop and submit comprehensive tender proposals within the specified deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other internal departments to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify project details and obtain accurate quotations.
- Evaluate bids received and arrange for meetings with short-listed contractors
- Prepare recommendations for awarding contracts

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tendering, estimating, or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing.
- Proficiency in tender management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
