About the Job
Carry out condition monitoring of rotating equipment and carry out performance tests and acceptance of rotary equipment.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out daily inspection and predictive maintenance checks on rotating machinery in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), to ensure smooth running of machinery and equipment
- Perform Vibration data collection using portable analysers, monitor online vibration of equipment in System1 and Lube oil sampling for testing.
- Support preventive and skilled maintenance activities based on work orders, repair and test electrical equipment to ensure proper operations.
- Participate in the assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.
- Verify completed maintenance activities and complete the maintenance activity sheet to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement.
- Record and verify rotating equipment field operating parameters as part of equipment health monitoring.
- Carry out inspection and exercise vigilance to identify any developing problem in the area assigned and report any problems.
- Authorize acceptance after major overhaul of small, medium and large rotary equipment to ensure all measurements are precise and as per the established procedures and craft standards and requirements.
- Carry out basic analysis of rotating equipment faults based on observed parameter deviation, raise work orders & generate reports for further reference and action.
- Review and verify online condition/ performance monitoring system on critical machinery for abnormalities and reporting exceptions to maintain and update history of rotating equipment.
- Assist maintenance by performing in-situ balancing using handheld analyser or System1 data.
- Perform Thermography and Ultrasonic testing in rotating equipment on need basis.
- Perform other similar or related duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).- At least 5 years of relevant experience in refinery / petrochemical / Oil & Gas industries.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
- Hands on knowledge in repair or troubleshooting of rotating equipment - Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Fin fans, Blowers and Fans
