JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Employee Relations Officer plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between employees and the organization. He/She is responsible for handling employee-related matters, promoting a positive & productive work environment, and ensuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on effective communication techniques.
• Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale.
• Set an agenda for events, activities, and programs aimed at fostering a positive work culture.
• Provide individualized career coaching and guidance to employees.
• Assist employees in setting career goals, identifying development opportunities, and creating action plans to achieve their objectives.
• Work with Performance Management Team to identify skills gaps and developmental needs among employees.
• Recommend training programs, job rotations, and stretch assignments to help employees enhance their skills and advance their careers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
• Investigate complaints and work towards resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all policies, labor laws and regulations are communicated and explained to the employee.
• Mediate conflicts and facilitate constructive dialogue between employees and management.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on conflict resolution techniques.
• Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers on performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations.
• Advise management on requirements related to employee relations and assist in ensuring compliance.
• Prepare regular reports on employee relations activities, including trends, issues, and outcomes. Present findings to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in the same role with a strong background in employee relations, learning & development.

Linguistic Skills:
• English and Arabic language spoken and written skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills:
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office
