Consultant Oral Medicine

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Oral Medicine professional to join our prestigious healthcare facility in the UAE. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care and expertise in the diagnosis and management of oral and maxillofacial diseases. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, while also contributing to the academic and research initiatives of the department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing oral medicine and committed to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with oral and maxillofacial disorders.
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including the interpretation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Engage in patient education to inform and empower individuals regarding their oral health conditions and treatment options.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and dental students, fostering a learning environment within the department.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to research initiatives in the field of oral medicine, including the publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Attend and present at national and international conferences to share knowledge and advancements in oral medicine.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including infection control protocols.

Requirements:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Oral Medicine or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a consultant role, preferably within a healthcare setting in the UAE or similar environments.
- Strong clinical skills with a thorough understanding of oral and maxillofacial diseases and their management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior staff or trainees.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary:
AED 65,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
