Consultant or Specialist Psychiatry

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Consultant or Specialist in Psychiatry to join our esteemed healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in mental health, demonstrating an ability to provide high-quality psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. This role is pivotal in enhancing the mental well-being of our patients through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of innovative mental health services in the region.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide ongoing care and support for patients, monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Engage in consultations with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share best practices.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and patient records.
- Participate in research, training, and education programs to enhance psychiatric services within the organization.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health trends.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to psychiatric services.

Requirements:

- Medical degree and completion of a recognized residency in psychiatry.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, with a focus on adult and/or child and adolescent mental health.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Proficient in providing psychotherapy and medication management as needed.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and ethical issues related to psychiatric practice.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
