Substation/Switchyard - Design Engineer - Electrical or Civil

Provide civil-structural engineering and technical expertise in transmission Substation engineering and design teams for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services. Provide civil-structural specific design and direction on complex engineering and technical challenges for the projects. perform responsible charge engineering duties and manage project schedules and budgets. The incumbent will also support Tender/proposal development, Engineering BOM estimation as well as supporting business development efforts.

Roles:
- Responsible for design & detailing of Civil & Structural works for the SUBSTATION projects (132kV to 400kV)
- Candidate should have 4 to 15 years relevant experience in structural design of substation foundation & building.
- Prepare cost-effective design basis with respect to project specification & related codes.
- Prepare a master document list for civil activities.
- Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements /DBR.
- Analysis of design issues and recommends corrective actions.
- Determine material estimates based on civil designs.
- Study field survey & investigate to prepare engineering drawings Review of Design Drawings
- Shall be proficient in STAADPRO , AUTOCAD

Required Civil Engineer who is having more than 4-15 years experience in EHV Substations & Power Transmission Line Projects will only be considered.

- Graduate in Electrical Engineering
- Design engineering experience of 4-12 years for up to 230KV GIS/AIS Substations
- ASS, TSS Metro OHE Experience.
- 3rd rail Dc traction ( 750V DC)experience.
- Knowledge in preparation of calculations for Sag Tension, Short Circuit Force, Earthing, DSLP etc.
- Accustomed for preparation of technical documents/drawings
- Acquainted for preparation of Electrical System Layouts for Detailed design
- Review of Vendor equipment drawings/documents
- Participate in technical meetings with Vendors, Clients / Consultants
- Estimation of BOQ for Tender Support
- Having good knowledge in AutoCAD, Dialux software
