Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE

The job holder is responsible for centralizing and standardizing the reporting and monitoring of operations performance and shall support multiple taskforces within the operations responsibility's matrix in the designing and implementation of the improvement initiatives. Support in developing and implementing the Operations strategy in line with the overall Borouge strategy and stakeholders' demands, resulting in enhancing efficiency and effectiveness for maximizing profitability, supporting growth, enriching "Brand" & ensuring Sustainability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES.
- Develop and implement unified operations strategy across all operating sites coordinating key activities like developing 5-year Business Plans, aligning shutdown plans, managing operations budgets etc.
- Lead 5-year Business Planning activities - development of Technical Assumptions, Shutdown & TAR finalization, Variable cost estimation, production plan validation, management engagement.
- Devise the strategic objectives of Operations Group and ensure the integration of devised objectives with Operations Performance Initiatives.
- Manage operations performance score Card - support planning and actual performance reporting of L1 KPIs related to Operations and L2 / L3 operations score card.
- Monitor operations performance, identify gaps & opportunities, develop action plans for ensuring continuous improvement cycle. - Performance reporting - Daily Performance Reports, Monthly, BAC/ BOD and engage AR Management and shareholders.
- Support Solomon benchmarking studies, development of gap closure program and coordination for the effective implementation.
- Manage Operations Business Agreements, ensure compliance and coordination.
- Adopt continuous improvement processes as the model for continued success of the business.
- Develop & lead Operations transformational strategies, drive change management activities for major improvement programs and monitor implementation across the operations.
- Identify and facilitate key change for the enhancement of overall Company performance related to systems, procedures, business processes, operating practices, products etc.
- Supervise the implementation of a unified Change Management framework, drive change management activities for major improvement programs and monitor implementation across the Operations Group.
- Implement Corporate Initiatives such as Out of the Box Initiatives, Project Light, and Organizational Transformation, and report the periodic progress status.
- Study and implement Best Operations Practices in line with other global peers and Joint Venture partners, as applicable.
- Supervise the system to monitor & report periodic status of Internal & External Audit Recommendations raised on the Operations Group

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical or equivalent degree.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 12 Years' experience in Refining, Petrochemicals with min 5 years' experience in Performance Monitoring & Process Improvement
- Adequate experience of all refining operations and refinery work processes. Excellent report writing skills. Good experience in cross functional activities in Refinery.
- Fluency in English language; written and oral with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with other people and in a multi-nationality teams
