Purchase Officer (Automotive Industry)

Job description / Role

JOB LOCATION : Telangana, India.

- Managing the procurement process for automotive parts and materials.
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely replenishment of automotive parts.
- Collaborating with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
- Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
- Managing relationships with existing suppliers and resolving any issues or disputes.
- Analyzing and reporting on purchasing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to optimize purchasing processes and reduce costs.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and materials.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory management.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and computer systems, such as ERP and MS Office.
