Program Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a portfolio of projects and initiatives for a public/government organization. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful execution of programs in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement program management strategies to ensure successful delivery of projects and initiatives within the specified timeframes and budget constraints.
- Lead and supervise a team of project managers, ensuring effective coordination and communication to drive project success.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and external vendors.
- Monitor and report on the progress of programs, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact program delivery, implementing appropriate solutions and contingency plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align program activities with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies throughout program execution.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; PMP certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects in a public/government sector.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of program management best practices, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions to drive program success.
- Experience working in the UAE or the Middle East region is advantageous, with knowledge of local regulations and government processes.
