Operations and Finance Support

Job description / Role

As the Operations and Finance Support, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of our information flow (including databases) together with supporting the operations and finance teams. This role requires a strategic and disciplined thinker with an understanding of databases and the ability to manage data on a global scale. You will work closely with various teams across different regions to ensure data integrity, interpretation, and accessibility.

• Database Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems that track the movement of cargo globally, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of databases to ensure efficient and timely access to critical data.
• Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve database issues related to cargo movement promptly to minimize downtime and maintain data integrity across all regions.
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with international teams, including developers, system administrators, and logistics personnel, to support and enhance database-driven applications for cargo tracking.
• Documentation: Create and update comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies, ensuring they are accessible and understandable to global stakeholders.
• Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret database data, providing clear and concise summaries, reports, and explanations to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.

• Deep understanding of excel or any other database technology.
• Strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles, and practices.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to travel for business.
