Embedded Systems Engineer – Product Development

Job description / Role

• Design and develop embedded systems solutions for Security & Building Automation applications.
• Identify suitable controllers, processors, PLC and associated hardware to meet system requirements.
• Develop appropriate instrumentation and control logics to meet system requirements.
• Programming of embedded systems using different languages.
• Develop device drivers and low-level software for hardware peripherals.
• Establish connection between devices using different communication protocols, including but not limited to, serial communication (UART, SPI, I2C), wired communication (Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, DALI, KNX), and wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi, LORA, HaLow).
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of embedded systems.
• Debug hardware and software issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Optimize embedded systems for performance, power consumption, and memory usage.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to scope of work, design, specifications, technical requirements, and test procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in embedded software development.
• Providing support for system implementation and maintenance
• Work closely with Software Developers to build & optimize product performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics from a reputable University.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or assembly language.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, device drivers, and real-time operating systems.
• Knowledge of Video Analytics and Video/Image Processing Algorithms.
• Experience with embedded development tools, debuggers, and hardware/software integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Previous involvement in full product development lifecycle is preferred.
• Excellent command of English both written & spoken
• Good Research and self-learning ability
• UAE Driving license is preferred
