Overview of the role:

AFET is a leader in converged systems integration and provides complete business solutions to large, medium, and small customers that include networking solutions, IP telephony, infrastructure, contact centre solutions, business applications, ELV systems, professional audio-visual solutions and managed services. Data Network Engineer is required to provide support services to AFT's AMC customers and on-site.

What you will do:

Responsible for:
- Impart Post-sales technical support as per SLA signed with customers
- Implementation of Data Network and ICT solutions in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
- Monitoring and maintaining enterprise level network hardware and applications at customer premises.
- Advanced Diagnostics and monitoring of Data Network Infrastructure Solutions.
- Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configuring and installing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS.
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Maintain current working knowledge of relevant system technologies.
- Attending service requests, preventive maintenance health checks.
- Perform change management activities.
- Ensure the committed timelines are met for the projects at customer sites within the agreed scope, cost, and quality.
- Training to customers on system usage.
- Prioritizing workload to maximize productivity and minimize customer downtime.

Incident Management (Break/fix) activities including, but not limited to:
- Determining best means to get system back up and running to original specifications.
- Coordinating the repair/replacement of failed equipment.

Service Delivery
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction with 24x7 Support readiness.

Job Context:

This position operates within the context of Data Network, Infrastructure, Wi-Fi and Security Solutions. Job seeker must be trained and certified on various solutions of Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, CISCO, Fortinet, HP, or similar. Engineer will be part of the technical support team. Job seeker must have excellent hands-on experience to perform the job.

Technical Skills:
- Experienced and Certified in Cisco, Aruba, Alcatel Lucent Data switches & Wireless.
- Expert in Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
- Must have full solutions lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Excellent incident, problem management and analytical skills.
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
- CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar in Electronics / Telecom / IT/ Computer Science.
- Valid Post Sales Certifications . CCNP, CCIE or similar.

Minimum Experience:
- Must have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Network, routing/switching elements, Infrastructure, Wi-Fi and Security and Firewall Solutions.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Hands on experience on Aruba switches & Wireless controllers.
- Hands on experience on Alcatel switches & Wireless.
- Hands on experience on IPTV Configuration.
- Hands on experience on Cisco switches & Wireless controllers.
