We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Lead with 10 to 12 years specialized knowledge in Credit Bureau systems and proficiency in Azure Data platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data within our organization. The role requires expertise in credit bureau data management, understanding of regulatory requirements, and hands-on experience with Azure Data platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of credit bureau data.
• Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks and controls to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, metadata management practices, and data quality metrics.
• Establish and enforce data governance roles and responsibilities across the organization, including data stewards and data custodians.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor data quality, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and expertise on data governance best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to credit bureau data management and Azure Data platform.
• Lead the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, data lineage documentation, and data governance artifacts.
• Act as a subject matter expert on credit bureau data management practices, data privacy regulations, and Azure Data platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement data protection measures, including encryption, access controls, and data masking techniques.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data governance processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in a data governance leadership role, preferably in the financial services industry with a focus on credit bureau data.
• In-depth knowledge of credit bureau systems, including data formats, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance standards
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data platform services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Familiarity with data quality management tools, data cataloging solutions, and metadata management platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of driving successful data governance initiatives and implementing data management best practices in large-scale environments.
