Summary
As a Barista at Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages, delivering outstanding customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will play a key role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience during their visit to our hotel's café.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Serve Beverages: Create a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and fresh juices, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests by taking orders, offering recommendations, and addressing any questions or special requests with a positive attitude.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the work area, equipment, and utensils clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards. Ensure that the café environment is inviting and well-maintained.
Requirements:
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders for supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage the cash register with attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations, including coordinating with kitchen staff and other hotel departments.
- Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, striving to enhance their overall experience and satisfaction
About the Company
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
