We're looking for an Aeropolitical Affairs Manager to join us at Emirates Group in Dubai. Reporting into the Manager Aeropolitical Affairs, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive analytical research and presenting recommendations to senior management in support of Emirates' aeropolitical objectives. As the Aeropolitical Affairs Manager, you will assist in obtaining traffic rights and enhancing market access for Emirates by preparation of targeted submissions and participation in meetings with the UAE and international stakeholders regarding aeropolitical matters.

In this role, you will:

- Monitor and research developments in domestic, regional and global aviation policies and regulations to assess their impact on the airline's operations, market access and strategic objectives.
- Utilize statistical software and tools to collect, organise, and analyse data related to air traffic, passenger and cargo demand, market shares, route performance and other relevant metrics to support Emirates' market access requirements.
- Provide senior management with a clear and concise interpretation of the research findings and complex analyses, both in writing and verbally, to enable informed decisions.
- Develop meeting files, proposed aeropolitical requirements, advocacy submissions, presentations, reports and briefing notes for senior management's use at intergovernmental meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Planning and Commercial Operations, ahead of bilateral air services negotiations and stakeholder engagements to develop Emirates' positions.
- When required, participate in intergovernmental bilateral air services negotiations, assisting senior management with pursuing Emirates' traffic rights goals and other aeropolitical interests.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships on aeropolitical matters with aeronautical authorities, other regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders in the UAE and globally.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and industry/governmental for a related to aeropolitics, aviation policy and regulation.
- Assist in government authorisations and schedule approvals for Emirates' operations to new destinations or, when so required, for additional flights to existing points.
- Provide guidance on any relevant aeropolitical issues to Emirates' code share team and help obtain approvals for code share flights as required.
- Support the ongoing development of the team's Analysts to keep enhancing their statistical and analytical skills as well as understanding and knowledge in the field of aeropolitics and the aviation industry overall.

Requirements:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in commercial/sales, research/analysis, business analytics and modelling, law, international relations or a related area.
- 8+ years airline experience in the field of aeropolitical / international / government / public affairs with a strong background in commercial analysis and research.

You will have an edge if you have:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated competence in statistics, modelling and accurate data analysis.
- Robust ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to air transport.
- Thorough expertise in quantitative and qualitative research.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to produce correspondence, reports, presentations and advocacy documents of superb contents and language quality.
- Full attention to detail in preparing both data analyses and written documents.
- Solid knowledge of aeropolitics, including bilateral air services agreements and negotiations.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
