Accounts Receivable Accountant

Job description / Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and collection of receivables. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process including invoicing, collections, and application of payments
- Create and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
- Follow up on overdue accounts and work with customers to resolve payment issues
- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable aging reports
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer billing and payment inquiries

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Accountant or similar role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Familiarity with UAE accounting practices and regulations is a plus

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 8,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
