JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

About the role

Purpose of the Job

To manage backup and recovery processes, maintaining environments, and implementing storage solutions to meet organizational needs.

Job Location: New Administrative Capital, Cairo

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions
- Manage and monitor backup schedules and ensure that backups are performed according to defined policies and procedures
- Perform regular backups and test the restore processes to ensure data recoverability
- Implement and maintain backup policies, retention periods, and archival procedures
- Troubleshoot backup failures and perform root cause analysis to address underlying issues
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure backup and recovery requirements are met
- Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new backup technologies and solutions
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of backup procedures and configurations

Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science from a recognized university.

Experience.
- Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in systems data protection services
- Proven experience working with backup systems.
- Proven experience with SAN storage systems.
- Experience with backup software (e.g., Dell Avamar, HPM RMC, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault)
- Experience with SAN technologies (e.g., EMC, Brocade).
- Very Good knowledge in Linux/Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies.
- Proficiency in SAN administration and storage management.
