JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Synopsis

Support the digitalisation of the cargo business through oversight of the cargo business system, through effective and ontime updates in line with industry best practices and ensuring users are trained and supported through the 1st level help desk support teams.

Accountabilities

- Leadership responsibility of monitoring cargo systems compliance team
- System trainings and on job support planned in advance and linked to a published training plan .
- Introduce major functionality changes in process and system to support EASC's ambition of being a best in class service provider
- Conduct TNA and ensure staff are trained to fulfill their job roles effectively and efficiently. Imparting skills and knowledge through designing, implementing and reviewing system training requirements.
- Ensure that the cargo system is kept up to date with the latest operating version and with all functionalities enabled & deployed in production
- Support evaluation of business opportunities by leveraging the data in the business system and working with the relevant data reporting & commercial teams
- Continually seek ways to enhance levels of service through technology. Identify and implement optimization for existing and proposed technologies;
- Implement agreed solutions from airline handling enhancement initiatives/ projects that automate and integrate industry best practices for handling cargo. Explore new process options for EAS through Cargo systems
- Identify the impact on newly implemented process. Gap analysis on existing process

Requirements:

Education & Experience

- Degree/Diploma in appropriate business qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a related role is required
- Good PowerPoint & Excel skills

Etihad Airport Services Cargo is the sole cargo handling provider at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi.

We serve the cargo needs of more than 25 online carriers and many more offline carriers through Road Feeder Services. EAS Cargo provides import and export services and comprehensive logistics processes for airlines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.

The current cargo terminals at Zayed International Airport cover 41,000 sq m of storage facilities that offer a full range of cargo services, including a fully equipped perishables center, temperature-controlled rooms, pallet screening, state-of-the-art CCTV for valuable cargo, and 24/7 end-to-end cargo support, including build and break, documentation, airside transports, special product handling, including perishables, and pharmaceuticals. Our innovative systems allow track and trace through our cargo facilities, better control of short connecting shipments, and real-time status updates.

We are the cargo handlers for the Abu Dhabi F1 event and other special projects. With its strategic location in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airport Services Cargo plays a vital role in facilitating global trade and connectivity, serving as a key hub for air cargo operations in the region.
