Tendering Director

Job description / Role

Currently recruiting for a Tendering Director to work for a "main contractor" in Riyadh. My client is a tier-one "Main Contractor" and they specialize in large-scale construction projects across the region, they are part of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of the KSA government.

Overseeing the entire tendering process, including identifying potential projects, reviewing and analyzing tender documents, preparing and submitting bids, and negotiating contracts.

Developing strategies for bidding on projects, including analyzing market conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and determining the most competitive pricing and bidding strategy.

Leading a team of tendering professionals, overseeing their work, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, JV partners and other stakeholders.

Assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with tendering, such as legal and contractual risks, financial risks, and project-specific risks.

Reviewing and improving the tendering process, including implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and staying updated with industry trends and regulations.

Working closely with other departments within the company, such as project management, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of tendering activities.

Must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in the Middle East, out of which at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia. Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Proficient in MS Office, Planning Software Candy Software and in general computer conversant

Salary:
SAR 70,000 to 100,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
