The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

Reporting to the precinct/zone delivery lead, responsible for the strategy and delivery of the major project.

Responsible for the delivery of multiple fast-paced hotel projects end to end.

Sole responsibility for the delivery of projects/assets, reporting to the delivery lead covering the multiple hospitality assets.

The successful candidate is expected to operate with a degree of autonomy and be able to effectively develop and execute their own project plans, collaborating with stakeholders within the client environment, as required.

• You will ensure robust quality systems are in place, and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
• You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
• You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the associate director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
• Sole ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of hotel projects or programmes from inception to execution of the scheme.
• Communicating clearly to build and develop relationships with both clients and external stakeholders.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Working in a client-facing role, responsible for managing the clients’ strategy, through to managing the delivery of local and international consultants and contractors
• Developing the client's brief, and delivery strategy and leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme.
• Establishing and managing a high-performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
• Overseeing that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.
• You will ensure robust quality systems are in place, and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
• You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
• You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
• Managing, monitoring and coordinating all key aspects of the project including the project schedule, costs, reporting, quality, logistics, neighbour relations, health and safety and environment.
• Establishing key relationships with the client and other key stakeholders.
• Supervising the specialist design team, construction supervision and cost consultants throughout the project.
• Determining and arranging project management, programme management, sustainability and technical services and other external resources required for the project on behalf of the client organisation.
• Able to quickly develop an understanding of a client’s process and procedures to ensure your projects fit their governance requirements. You will also be able to develop your own project plans.
• Preparation of tender documentation, reports, schedules and recommendations contributing to the procurement of trade contractors. Issuing the instructions, on behalf of the client, to the contractor and any?professional team in accordance with the terms of their appointment or the building contract.?
• Understanding of budgets, estimates and ability to review and challenge tender proposals, where necessary.?
• Understand the statutory approvals processes, including making and managing the Planning process successfully and advising clients where necessary.
• Can demonstrate experience of performance in striving for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
• Monitoring and controlling contract changes and variations.
• Establishing and leading regular site progress meetings.
• Identifying project risks, developing risk mitigation and contingency plans and implementing action plans.
• Managing formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client.
• Managing the reporting and the flow of program/project information between the team and the client.
• Effectively manage the performance of the project team to execute assigned projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large complex projects.
• Preparing the scope of work including the identification of resource requirements, supporting the cost estimation and budget reviews.
• Proactively developing a plan for the timely closeout and practical completion of the works.

Requirements:

You’ll need to have:

• A degree qualification.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
• Experience working in a similar project management role for a hotel developer, hotel operator, architectural or project management practice.
• Proven successful delivery of hotel development to a high standard, on schedule and within budget.
• Understanding the delivery and management of hotel projects with knowledge of the end-to-end process required to take a project from inception through to handover.
• Track record for project delivery across the various RIBA work stages.
• Knowledge/appreciation of H&S standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of architectural, engineering design and construction principles.
• Ability to work on several projects in parallel with effective time management.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of an effective team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experienced using Microsoft Office and planning software such as MS Project/P6.
