Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for talented Senior ICT Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Jeddah, KSA

This critical role will work as part of the Project Management team, and ensuring that all matters pertaining to ICT are delivered as per client requirements .

We envisage success in this role to include:

- Developing and maintaining professional and meaningful relationships with the client to ensure program and project requirements are being satisfied.
- Assisting in the documentation of the ICT architecture, design and layout including protocol and standards used
- Understanding and having hands on experience of BGP, OSPF, VLAN, MPLS, VPLS, TCP/IP, Switching
- Working on developing suitable network schematics and further detailing with guidance/ approval from the Senior ICT Engineer
- Ensuring the delivery of the contracted Design and Construction Management services to the client.
- Being involved in and helping to direct the development and maintenance of the program and project schedules for all phases of the project including procurement, planning, design, and construction.
- Ensuring compliance with all KEO internal processes and procedures.
- Ensuring the buildability of the proposed design and suitability of materials.
- Coordinating engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors.
- Coordinating and visiting the jobsite as required, to resolve problems, interpret drawings and documents and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Coordinating with other disciplines, consultants, and attend project meetings from time to time.
- Implementing the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the MEP and ICT contractor.
- Reviewing all relevant construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned parties.
- Ensuring that all statutory authority NOC's / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
- Ensuring that the main contractor and nominated ICT contractor coordinate with all concerned authorities departments and ensure that their requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated.
- Extending the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
- Preparing the process control sheet for ICT works during the Enabling Works / Main Contract Works.
- Reviewing and forwarding any comments on all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors.
- Conducting regular (daily) site visits and supervise, certify the installation of ICT related services ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
- Review and forward any comments on the contractor's method statement for installation, execution of the works.

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 15 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or ICT related field.
- Master level studies, ideally in Telecommunication, ICT or IP Technology would be favorable. This role is with a client that is running a mega mixed use, high value project. The selected candidate will have worked within a Tier 1 Consultancy in a similar program.
