Job Description:
Quality Design Managers are leaders and skilled problem solvers. They’re accountable for the success of an initiative, often coordinating efforts across disciplines and managing cross-functional teams. They’re used to reporting progress to the division managers, representing the design team with the client, as well as inspiring team members to push toward their shared goals. Here is what is expected as a part of the role of the Quality Design Manager in our organization:
Job Responsibilities:
• Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong grasp of current communication, project tracking, and division of responsibilities.
• Excellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills, with proven knowledge of how to foster attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups.
• Solid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project’s design process.
• Solid understanding and ability to implement quality management processes and procedures.
• Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Willing to mentor more junior team members and share knowledge.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or related field of work.
• Additional qualifications in master planning / urban planning is a plus.
• 7 years of experience as a Quality Design Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
• Experience in managing delivery of customer-facing and internally-facing products or services.
• PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs.
• High proficiency in English language
