Informaticist - Patient Access

Job description / Role

The IT Informaticist bridges clinical staff, administrative personnel, and IT departments, ensuring effective use of health information systems. The role supports hospital outpatient services, HIMs, Medical Records, and Access, with a focus on optimizing caregiver access to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to enhance healthcare delivery, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

My client is a well-known healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. It is a multi-specialty hospital offering a wide range of medical services, including outpatient and inpatient care, specialized clinics, and advanced surgical procedures. They are recognized for they high-quality healthcare standards and modern facilities. It also collaborates with international medical institutions to provide comprehensive medical care.

Description
* Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to implement and maintain health information systems.
* Develop and implement data quality assurance processes and perform regular audits.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of health information systems.
* Develop and generate reports and dashboards to support clinical and administrative decision-making.
* Ensure appropriate user access and security controls are in place for health information systems, with a specific focus on the EMR for caregivers.
* Monitor and manage user permissions and access levels in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

* Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
* Certification in Health Information Management (RHIA, RHIT) or Informatics (CPHIMS) is a plus.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health informatics or a related field, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
