Head of Academics

Job description / Role

The Head of Academics will ensure that their leadership demonstrates a commitment to promoting and developing existing good practices through the pursuit of excellence in all areas of work. Reporting to the Executive Principal (EP), they will provide effective, dynamic, and inspirational leadership to manage all Teaching and Learning functions of the school. This role aims to ensure that every learner can fulfill their true potential, achieve excellent educational standards, and develop their Islamic faith, values, and character.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the curriculum is compliant with MoE rules and regulations in terms of curriculum offering, attendance, staffing, reporting and general requirements.
- Develop programs for enabling school students and families to meet academic goals.
- Ensure annual yearly progress meetings and execute programmes to conform academic success.
- Establish policies as per School’s performance management, succession planning and staffing requirements.
- Hire, employ and establish outstanding faculty for schools’ excellence, integrity, and moral character.
- Lead school’s representation in area community and educational associations to market school’s wellbeing.
- Oversee school activities to ensure educational goals and outcomes’ fulfillment.
- Support accreditation process in case of growth of new schools.

Qualifications:
- University Degree in a relevant field.
- Proven working experience in international schools (Gulf countries).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- NPQH is a plus
- Flexible and Adaptable.
- Effective Time Management and Organizational Skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership and Team Management Skills.
