Senior Project Management Advisor

• The Senior Project Management Advisor will take overall responsibility for the management and delivery performance against the agreed objectives and to ensure compliance and protection of Client’s ability and rights.
• Management to include, initiating, planning, executing, controlling/monitoring, and closing of overall engineering and supervision activities.
• Provide governance, programme management advice, mentoring and strategic support and analysis to PADO-PMO.
• Overall leadership to oversee Client’s drive to technology and digital transformation strategy and implementation.
• Lead in steering successful delivery based on international best practices and ensure Client’s satisfaction under any and of all conditions.
• Responsible for providing senior policy support services as well as providing coordination, facilitation, and analysis services to the Projects Affairs Director.
• Liaison between the Projects Affairs Director’s Office and the Departments and handles requests for information and direction on various issues that PADO and the Departments need assistance with.
• Manages the day-to-day workload within PADO-PMO, takes active ownership of own work, and collaborates with others in the team and across the Departments so that work is delivered within required timeframes and to high standards.
• Represents Projects Affairs with internal departments and external organisations in a professional and authoritative manner.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Projects Management, Programme Management, Construction Management, or equivalent obtained from universities identified in the World Higher Education Database (WHED) published by the International Association of Universities.
• Chartered, Professional Licensed and Professional Certification is a requirement and shall be obtained from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations.
• More than 25 years of practical and relevant experience since obtaining the educational qualifications specified, including 15 years of demonstrable technical and management experience within advisory and consultancy of large-scale infrastructure and building programmes covering all programme phases.
• Diversified work experience internationally with at least a minimum of 10 years of experience working in North America, W. Europe, UK, Australia or New Zealand or equivalent developed country.
• Technical experience covering overall engineering of diversity of large-scale infrastructure and building programmes.
• A vast experience and knowledge in construction industry particularly in infrastructure and building developments.
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.

Desirable Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Highly desirable to be familiar with PWA projects, stakeholder requirements, processes, systems, and tools.
• Preferably having working experience in Qatar and/or the Gulf region and have worked on the Client side.
