Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Accountabilities:
• Read general arrangement drawings, repair plans, work orders and production schedules to determine job instructions.
• Ensure the marking jobs are carried out as per the schedule given by supervisor.
• Mark the areas to be renewed as per the spec/ drawing/ instruction from class/ owner.
• Continual in process inspection to have minimal or zero re-work.
• Prepare dimension control report and submit to Project In charge
• Facilitator for department’s drive for continual improvement.
• Motivate productive and safe performance of workers.
• Ensure all HSE and Quality aspects are met.
• Employee should prioritize wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Adhere to all health & safety protocols, participate in wellbeing & wellness programs, and promptly report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others in order to foster a culture of best practice.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed

Requirements:

• ITI/ITC in structural fitting
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and minimum certification / qualification in structural fitting and assembly.

Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience as Marker in Shipyards.
• Candidates without ITI/ITC certifications, but with secondary education and a minimum of 3 years of experience in ship repair or new building, can also be considered for the role.
