Overview of the role

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Workshop Supervisor. In this role, you will responsible for ensuring optimum utilization of the available workshop labour and resources to achieve set operational efficiency targets. The role involves ensuring the team carries out vehicle repair and service activities in accordance to established quality, safety and efficiency guidelines and within set time frames. The role includes improving the business by securing accident repair jobs from outside customers.

What you will do:
- Prepares the team for the upcoming job and allocates job cards to them to align the jobs to the skills set and efficiency level and maximize through put in timely manner
- Reviews pre-order forms to confirm parts requirements are well matched with the issue on hand and guaranteed to fix the problem
- Ensures quality checks are done on finished jobs by the technicians
- Prepare quotations. Co-ordinate with Insurance surveyors seeking approval
- Reviews workshop figures, such as hours sold, hours worked versus idle hours to monitor progress of operational targets. This includes preparing reports for management discussions
- Monitors communication with customers through Service
- Monitors and improves the competency of team members. Accountable for the functioning and repairs of tools / equipment being used in the workshop

Requirements:

Required skills to be successful:
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Automotive or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience as supervisor in a reputed automotive dealership
- Knowledge in body shop
- Sound technical knowledge in vehicle diagnosis and repair

About the team

The role will report to the Head of Service.

- Knowledge of technical software
- Valid UAE Passenger Bus driver's license will be an advantage
