Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Structural Engineer Level 3 (Design) to join our award-winning Design team based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates .

This position is responsible for overall scheduling, planning, developing design and specifications and other required documents related to structural design as well as mentoring junior engineers.

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Assisting senior staff in evaluation and design of structures, and preparation of design documentation.
- Coordinating of structural design information with requirements of other disciplines.
- Participating in the departmental QAQC system as directed.
- Selecting of viable alternative structural concepts and evaluate these alternatives to select most suitable for the project.
- Preparing design criteria reports, create structural analysis models and design structural element to produce complete design with limited guidance from Senior Engineers and Technical Leader.
- Ensuring that design requirements are properly indicated on drawings.
- Visiting construction sites to clarify design requirements and check that construction is adhering to the design requirements.
- Responding to request for information from the sites.
- Communicating clearly, effectively and concisely in writing and verbally. Ability to comprehend, evaluate, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
- Strong Organizational, systematic and quantitative skills. Ability to effectively present information clearly.
- Partnering with clients to exceed their expectations and build client relations.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of structural analysis and design. Knowledge of structural design codes, mainly UK/American codes plus local codes.
- Knowledge of design and spreadsheet applications, including ETABS, SAFE, STAAD and others.
- Understanding of structural design and construction.

Requirements:
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 7 years' design experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, Master is an advantage.

- Member of a recognized Association / Institution of Engineers.
- Experienced in the use of American Design codes, UAE Building Code. Knowledge of BS/EU standards is a plus point.
- Proficient user for structural design software ETABS, SAFE, SAP .
- REVIT knowledge will be added advantage.

Candidates having Dubai Municipality license will be preferred favorably.
