On behalf of Wear That, we are looking to hire a Senior Buyer to join their dynamic team. As a key player, you will significantly contribute to their vibrant and fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

- Be well-versed in women's fashion, especially in the contemporary segments.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships and foster collaboration across
company channels.
- Analyze business metrics, data, and industry trends to uncover opportunities for
future product assortments.
- Build and expand the vendor matrix, ensuring a diverse and profitable range of
offerings.
- Oversee sales and profitability, and negotiate with vendors to optimize gross margins.
- Manage the purchasing of brands and products for Wear That.
- Identify in-season opportunities and risks by analyzing sales performance.
- Lead the onboarding of new brands and categories.
- Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager to enhance reporting and visibility of
category, subcategory, and brand performance.
- Create and distribute seasonal guides to support the overall merchandising calendar.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and product placement
through social channels.
- Work closely with the eCommerce team.
- Travel worldwide for buying trips to source new brands and meet with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements for selling within the fashion space.
- Oversee contracts in partnership with senior management.
- Oversee and conduct 1:1 and group training sessions for stylists to ensure comprehensive product knowledge.
- Oversee and ensure the fit of our products through weekly fit meeting sessions with the styling and merchandise departments, aiming to ensure the correct fit, sizing, and body shape knowledge.
- Provide brand training for the team.
- Develop long, mid, and short-term strategies to maximize departmental opportunities and support overall Wear That strategic priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the Merchandise Manager to develop and manage seasonal assortment strategies that align with sales forecasts and financial targets.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Styling, Marketing, Data Science, and Tech, to build go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee Private Label to support and define strategies, processes, and vision that will deliver growth in a changing consumer market while developing data-led, client focused, and brand-right products.
- Support the Merchandising Leadership Team with other projects and deliverables as needed.

Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business, fashion merchandising, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in buying, procurement, or merchandising within the fashion industry.
- Experience across a variety of product categories or in both retail and wholesale environments.
- A deep understanding of the fashion industry, market trends, and consumer preferences.
- Knowledge of product development, sourcing, production, and supply chain management.
- The ability to analyze data, trends, and market information to make informed buying decisions.
- A creative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in developing and managing private label products, with a solid understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle is preferable.
