Safety Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Engineer to join our construction team in UAE-Dubai. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all workers, implementing safety protocols, and identifying and mitigating potential hazards on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety regulations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for construction sites in compliance with local and international regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and risks
- Provide safety training and education for construction site workers and management
- Investigate and report on accidents or near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure safety considerations are integrated into construction plans and operations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and safety standards

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Safety Engineer in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills would be a plus

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
