Quantity Surveyor

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects, ensuring efficient planning and execution to meet project milestones and budget targets.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Manage procurement and tendering processes, including the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation.
- Monitor and control project costs, including tracking and reporting on variations, progress payments, and final accounts.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely cost advice and cost forecasting.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims to minimize financial risks and disputes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually enhance cost management processes and procedures.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Professional certification such as RICS or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successful project delivery and cost management.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control principles.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cost-related issues.
- Familiarity with local regulations and practices in the UAE construction industry is an advantage.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 8,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
