JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Scope:
Ensuring supply of raw materials, devising cost reduction measures, vendor development, and quality control.

Job Responsibilities:
- The entire responsibility for a continuous supply of raw materials, engineering maintenance spares, consumables, and inventory stock items in line with quality requirements from an approved list of suppliers to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- Cost Reduction targets with all commodities to be followed up as a part of the continuous Improvement process.
- Vendor Development & VQR / VDR monitoring in line with the company’s Quality & EHSMS norms (Including vendor registration, approval & monitoring for new suppliers).
- Critical supplier monitoring based on product commodities-wise ABC Analysis.
- Coordinate day-to-day with the plant manager to procure technically correct supplies and interact closely with the user department.
- Cost meeting reports are provided monthly, including the number of PR converted to POs, buyer-wise details, Cost Reductions achieved –department report, List of New suppliers introduced, and Value engineering for Spare parts development for monopolistic products.
- Inventory control management in coordination with the store's department.
- Purchase order status report to top management monthly.
- Supplier payment issues in coordination with the A/C department.
- Ensure Import purchases are in line with INCO TERMS.
- Exercise JIT for shorter lead time commodities.
- Establish the Best credit facilities with suppliers in ordination with the A/C department.
- Setting up the Best Quality Policy for the Purchase Department through the Operation Manual for the Purchase Department.
- Setting up transparent Purchase practices in the department with standard supply chain principles.

Requirements:
- Possesses the required work experience and professional certifications in the audit field.
- 3-5 years of working experience in a similar profile in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing & connections with vendors.
- Experience in supply chain management & logistics.
- Expert in sourcing processes, control of procurement resources, activities for optimum cost-cutting potential, and quality standards.
- Minimum Qualification: Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
- Post-graduation is preferable.
- Knowledge of ERP.
- Must have strong knowledge of SAP and Excel.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal & communication skills.
- Building networks with local markets & knowledge about UAE vendors.
- Good financial abilities & budget management.
- Strong forecasting & planning skills.
- UAE Driving License.
