JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary: The Performance Management Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining performance management programs that enhance employee performance and support organizational goals. This role involves designing performance appraisal systems, providing training and support, and analyzing performance data to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure alignment of performance management systems with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and update performance appraisal tools and documentation.
• Provide training and support to managers and employees on performance management processes.
• Design and implement performance management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct workshops and seminars on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement.
• Serve as a resource for performance-related queries and issues.
• Manage the performance appraisal cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of performance appraisals.
• Facilitate calibration sessions to ensure consistency and fairness in performance ratings.
• Identify performance gaps and develop strategies for improvement.
• Work with managers to create and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees.
• Monitor progress of PIPs and provide ongoing support.
• Collect and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations for HR and executive management.
• Use data to make recommendations for enhancing performance management practices.
• Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and motivation.
• Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather feedback on performance management processes.
• Use feedback to make continuous improvements to performance management programs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the performance management process.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Performance Management Specialist or similar role. Minimum 7 years of experience in PM.
• Strong understanding of performance management systems and best practices.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
