Operations, Marine and Vetting Manager

Position Overview:
Supersonic Shipping Group is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations, Marine & Vetting Manager to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our continued success in the shipping industry. As the Operations, Marine & Vetting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial operations of our ocean-going vessels. Your responsibilities will encompass voyage orders, pre and post fixture activities, demurrage calculations, stowage plan checking, cargo tank preparation, and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, with a focus on safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial operations for our ocean-going vessels.
- Prepare and issue voyage orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with charter party agreements.
- Coordinate and oversee pre and post fixture activities, including charter party negotiations, agent appointments, and cargo operations.
- Calculate and manage demurrage claims and settlements.
- Verify and approve stowage plans, cargo tank preparations, and other vessel-related tasks.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards, including safety and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with marine personnel and vessel crews to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including charterers, agents, and inspection bodies.
- Provide support and expertise in vetting and inspection processes for oil or chemical tankers.
- Utilize proficient computer skills to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and promote a team-oriented work environment.
