IT Auditor

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Auditor to join our team in the real estate industry in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our information technology systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing our risk management processes. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our data integrity and optimizing our IT infrastructure to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, applications, and processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and risk management strategies, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand system functionalities and assess their alignment with organizational goals.
- Document audit findings and prepare detailed reports that outline issues, recommendations, and action plans for management.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to advise management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
- Assist in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards to enhance the overall governance of information technology.
- Provide training and support to staff on IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies tailored to the organization’s IT landscape.
- Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary to facilitate audits and compliance checks.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications (CISA, CIA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or IT governance, preferably within the real estate or related industry.
- Strong understanding of IT audit frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST.
- Proven experience in assessing IT infrastructure, applications, and security controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and an ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for auditing purposes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to IT and data protection is essential.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
