JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Contract

- The General Accounting Specialist is responsible for delivering general ledger processing services in compliance with IFRS’s and SLA's agreed with Group company finance teams.
- The role is responsible for managing the books of accounts and relevant reporting of the company.
- Scope of work covers accounts receivable, PID’s creation and general accounting process. GA process includes general ledger, business planning, fixed asset and VAT return.

Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for the creation of manual invoices and credit notes as per BA request and resolving subsequent queries from the Clients.
- Responsible for the registration of Customer in oracle.
- Ensure miscellaneous receipts are recorded using the appropriate GL entry.
- Assist AR GL team for any AR Invoice queries and follow ups.

PID/Accounts Payable
- Responsible for PID creation and Oracle payment requests for accounting purposes only.
- Responsible for the registration of Supplier/Vendor in oracle.

Fixed Assets
- Bridge between Fixed Asset team and Corporate Business Unit to gather all the information needed to capitalize the Fixed Asset.
- Ensure asset depreciation is performed in accordance with the finance policy.

Requirements:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Operations or Accounting

Relevant experience:
- 3 years

Mandatory Requirement:
- Experience in IFRS consolidation and Application
- Experience in recording journals

Technical Certification:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA
