JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Contract

• Project Understanding: Comprehend the specific technical requirements of assigned E-house and Process module projects, adhering to industry standards, classification, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work under the guidance of an E&I Engineer, following the Project Engineering schedule.
• Requirements Analysis: Understand Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation requirements as per project specifications.
• Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of E&I requirements within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Technical Drawings and Documentation: Prepare technical drawings, functional specifications, Cause and Effects diagrams, datasheets, single-line diagrams, schematics, and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Ensure all installations and operations conform to relevant standards and customer requirements.
• 3D Model Extraction: Extract various design drawings from E3D models and prepare documents for submission to clients and production at various project stages.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Conduct multidisciplinary clash checks and ensure maintenance accessibilities are provided.
• Engineering Deliverables: Prepare various engineering deliverables, including but not limited to:

Electrical:
• Substation and E-house Equipment Layout
• Single Line diagrams for switchgear and Distribution Panels
• Cable Datasheets
• Cable Tray Sizing calculations
• Cable Routings
• Cable Tray Layouts
• Cable Schedule
• Lighting Calculations
• MCT Sizing / Layouts
• Typical Installation details
• Hazardous area equipment registers
• Lightning Protection system risk analysis / Calculations and layouts

Instrumentation:
• Fire & Gas Layouts
• Telecom Layouts
• HVAC Instrument Layouts
• Loop Diagrams
• Hook-up drawings
• Data sheets
• Instrument tubing design
• Cable Block Diagrams
• Cable Termination diagrams

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience as an E&I Designer in the Oil & Gas sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the functionality of E-houses, Process modules, and FPSOs.
• Proficient in basic software skills related to E&I Engineering, such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Smart Instrument, and lighting calculation tools (e.g., DIALux).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in both main office Engineering Departments and site offices.
