CBD is embarking on a transformative journey to modernize its use of data and operationalize its data strategy and operating model. The data strategy is underpinned by design principles of revenue generation, increasing operational efficiency, and improving financial and regulatory controls. Effective and well-governed data will also aid in improving the outcomes of various analytics and AI use cases that the bank aims to implement.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Data Quality to drive critical elements of the data strategy. The role of the Data Quality Senior Manager involves developing and overseeing a suite of data quality control capabilities to ensure the effectiveness and suitability of processes and operational technology for maintaining high-quality data. The primary goal of the Data Quality Senior Manager is to steer the strategic course for measuring, monitoring, and addressing data quality issues, aiming to enhance the overall quality of data utilized by the bank.

Principal Accountabilities

Responsible for establishing data quality thresholds for each identified critical data elements (CDEs) to assess data quality scores of each data domain.

Responsible for leading the data quality initiatives, overseeing discussions and decision-making on data quality matters.

Foster widespread adoption of the data quality methodology and adhere to the data quality requirements outlined in the bank-wide Data Quality Policy and related processes.

Implement data quality monitoring and control mechanisms to define and implement bank-wide data quality indicators and address business-specific data quality issues.

Take ownership of the data quality processes to integrate new data sources, particularly those from external delivery partners.

Manage the data quality platform effectively to undertake data quality assessments and data cleansing as part of the data quality management process.

Conduct data quality profiling, which involves inspecting and evaluating datasets to identify potential issues.

Supervise the process of embedding data quality requirements into change initiatives and new program development.

Support the enablement of business projects through the execution of quality assignments such as ensuring the customer, transactional, and financial data is accurate for data migration, and addressing the data quality requirements.

Enhance skills and capabilities related to data quality in the bank to improve effectiveness, benefiting areas such as regulatory reporting, and boosting other metrics by ensuring data quality and timeliness.

Responsible for the bank's data quality to manage and work on the data quality functions along with the team of data quality experts.

Identify stakeholders responsible for implementing relevant data quality rules and policies and ensure those rules and policies are implemented.

Resolve data-related issues including data quality issues, data definition and standards conflicts, and service level problems in coordination with data analyst.

Communicate new Data Quality initiatives and standards to the Data Management and Governance Forum

Oversee data quality tests and scenarios in alignment with business teams, and track enterprise data quality.

Evaluate, implement, and manage Data Quality tools to track and manage data quality.

Implement data quality policies, processes, and guidelines so that the management of data is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Maintain data quality standards during storage and processing of data and help resolve any data quality issues raised by data consumers for their data domains.
