Construction Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction of villas in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and project management skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations in the UAE. The Construction Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful completion of villa construction projects within specified timelines and budgets, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire construction process of villas, from planning and design to execution and completion.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams, ensuring that all work is carried out according to specified plans, schedules, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement construction schedules and timelines, and ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Manage project budgets, costs, and resources to ensure efficient and effective use of resources, and to minimize project expenses.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards, and address any issues or concerns related to regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to review and approve designs, plans, and specifications, and make necessary adjustments as required.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to procure materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction activities, and ensure timely delivery to the construction site.
- Monitor and report on construction progress, issues, and risks, and take proactive measures to address any potential delays or obstacles.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Communicate and liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status, address any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing the construction of residential villas or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on villa construction methods and materials.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- In-depth understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE, and experience in ensuring compliance with these requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating construction teams to achieve project goals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, and to build strong working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to proactively identify and address construction-related issues and risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in construction management or project management would be an advantage.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
