Job Description

Summary: Support the pastry team by assisting with the preparation and production of pastries and desserts. Ensure that all tasks are performed with precision and in accordance with the established recipes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation: Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Production: Execute pastry production tasks including mixing, baking, decorating, and plating.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of hygiene and quality in the preparation and presentation of pastries.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of pastry ingredients, including proper storage and rotation of stock.
- Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and equipment; adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Assistance: Support senior pastry staff in the development of new recipes and menu items as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements:
Qualifications

- Culinary diploma or relevant qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in a pastry or baking role, preferably in a luxury hotel or Michelin restaurant setting.
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients; ability to follow instructions accurately; strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable to work in fast-paced kitchen environment, which may include exposure to heat and varying temperatures.
