JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

As an Assistant Fleet Manager for Client, the job duties would typically involve supporting the Fleet Manager in overseeing the operations, maintenance, and management of the company's fleet of vehicles. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:
• Vehicle Allocation: Assist in assigning vehicles to different departments or clients based on their needs and availability.
• Monitoring Fleet Usage: Track and monitor the usage of fleet vehicles to ensure they are being utilized efficiently and according to company policies.
• Vehicle Dispatch: Coordinate the dispatching of vehicles for different tasks, ensuring timely delivery and pickup.

Maintenance and Repair Coordination
• Scheduling Maintenance: Help in scheduling regular maintenance and inspections for fleet vehicles to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Repair Management: Assist in managing and coordinating repairs, including working with service centers and ensuring that vehicles are back in operation as quickly as possible.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including costs and service details.

Compliance and Safety
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all fleet vehicles comply with local and national regulations, including safety, emissions, and licensing requirements.
• Safety Protocols: Assist in developing and enforcing safety protocols for drivers and vehicles, including conducting safety training sessions.

Inventory Management
• Fleet Inventory: Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of all vehicles in the fleet, including tracking their condition, mileage, and usage history.
• Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement of new vehicles and the disposal or sale of old or unneeded ones.

Fuel and Cost Management
• Fuel Usage Tracking: Monitor and track fuel consumption across the fleet to identify any inefficiencies or areas for cost reduction.
• Cost Control: Support the Fleet Manager in budgeting and controlling costs related to fleet operations, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.

Driver Management
• Driver Scheduling: Assist in creating and managing driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all required operations.
• Driver Support: Provide support to drivers in resolving any issues that arise during their routes, including breakdowns or accidents.

Reporting and Analysis
• Data Collection: Collect and compile data on fleet performance, including usage, costs, and maintenance history.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing regular reports for management on fleet performance, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
• Analysis: Help analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for cost savings.

Customer Service
• Client Interaction: If the fleet serves external clients, assist in managing client relationships, addressing any concerns, and ensuring high levels of service.
• Feedback Management: Gather and report on feedback from drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to continually improve fleet operations.

Administrative Tasks
• Documentation: Handle administrative tasks related to fleet management, such as processing invoices, managing contracts, and ensuring all paperwork is up to date.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between different departments, vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth fleet operations.

Supporting Fleet Manager
• Assisting in Decision-Making: Provide input and support to the Fleet Manager in making decisions regarding fleet operations, budgeting, and strategy.
• Covering Responsibilities: Step in to cover the Fleet Manager’s responsibilities during their absence or as needed.

This role requires a combination of organizational, logistical, and interpersonal skills, as well as a good understanding of vehicle maintenance

Requirements:
• Experience in fleet management or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years OEM / Regional office experience required
• Native Arabic Speakers are encouraged to apply

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
