Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Metal Trading company in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the company through effective financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Checking and recording of all bank transactions and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant between 2 to 4 years, preferably in the similar industry.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, reconciliation, and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of local and international financial regulations.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:
AED 3,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
