JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support their financial operations within the logistics sector and will help ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing analysis and insights.
- Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Taxation: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations, providing financial insights and support as needed.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software and tools to manage and streamline financial processes.

Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the logistics sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional Certifications: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Sector Experience: Experience specifically in the logistics sector.
- Advanced Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting and financial management software.
- Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages relevant to business operations.

Salary:
AED 3,500 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
