JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

As a Senior Architect/Civil Engineer at Chestertons you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing projects from inception through to completion. You will utilize your extensive experience in architectural design or civil engineering to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of projects, while mentoring and guiding junior team members. This position requires a deep understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements within the real estate (Property/Project/Facilities Management, commercial, residential, infrastructure].

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design or civil engineering team in conceptualizing, planning, and executing projects of various scales and complexities.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Review and approve architectural or engineering drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in technology to incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in architecture/civil engineering
- Minimum 5-year experience in architecture or civil engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the basics knowledge of Photoshop and Revit.
- Familiarity with Saudi Building Codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
- Familiarity with design and construction requirements in real estate, property management, retail, and commercial sectors.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, materials, and building systems.
- Thoroughness in reviewing and checking design work for errors and compliance.
- Ability to monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, such as engineers, contractors, and clients. English is mandatory.
